Hi there! I have been cleaning out my computer of old photos recently, and I realized that I had several projects that I hadn’t had time to blog yet, including these cuties that I created for the Ellen Hutson October 2020 release! I have been in a “stamp a bunch, color a bunch, create a bunch” mood lately, where I stamp or die cut a bunch of images from the same set, then color them up or assemble them, then create as many projects as I can with them, like I’ve done with this Christmas card and double tag trio in today’s post! Today’s projects feature Santa’s List and the coordinating dies, as well as a smattering of older, but still fabulous, products from the Essentials By Ellen line. Let’s get started with the details!

I started by stamping several of the adorable images from Santa’s List onto white Copic-friendly cardstock using Intens-ified Black ink from Hero Arts. I then used my Copic markers in a cheery, traditional combination of bright red, green, and added in a touch of warm gray to add a bit of a modern twist to it. Next, I die cut all of the images using the coordinating dies.

For the card, I create a simple background for my little Santa scene by die cutting the Alpine Snowfall from the Essentials By Ellen line from some plain white cardstock, punching out all of the little bits. (You could totally save these for some “snow” for a shaker project! Wish I’d thought of it then!) I backed the snowy panel with some Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock for the perfect hint of sparkle.

I arranged my Santa’s List die cuts in a cute little scene on the card front, adhering everything using foam adhesive for lots of dimension. The final step was to tuck a little sentiment from Santa’s List in the corner of the scene to round everything out!
I used the leftovers from my pile of die cuts to create a couple of cute little tags. I began by die cutting the Twirling Flurries die from some plain white cardstock. This die doesn’t really cut anything out; rather, it impresses a beautiful stitched background pattern in your cardstock to create some gorgeous texture.

From this textured background panel, I used the Shipping Tags die to cut four different tags. If your cutting plates look anything like mine, they’re all chewed up and create unsightly marks on the back of your die cuts, which can be problematic if you’re creating tags to put on gifts and want to write on the back. I remedy this by doubling up my tags, which is super easy to do with the Shipping Tags dies, as it cuts four tags at once. I can create two clean tags with just one pass through my die cut machine! I adhered them together, back to back to hide the unsightly marked backs of the tags, then added some cute little Santa’s List die cuts on the front, finally finishing them off with some black twine.
